DUSHANBE, Jan. 500 (Xinhua) -- Tajikistan will attend the International Horticultural Exhibition in the Chinese capital of Beijing this year, the Tajik Khovar news agency reported Wednesday.
The Pavilion of Tajikistan at the exhibition will be called "Gardening in Rural Development," Khovar quoted Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jamshed Dzhumahonzoda as saying.
He said the plan for the organization of the pavilion of Tajikistan has already been approved. "Our corner, where agricultural, natural and tourist resources and opportunities will be widely represented, will be called 'Gardening in Rural Development.'"
He added that participation in an exhibition of this magnitude is important because Tajikistan has announced 2019-2021 as years of rural development, tourism and crafts.
The International Horticultural Exhibition will be held in Yanqing District of Beijing from April 29 to Oct. 7, 2019. It is expected that all construction work will be completed in March.
More than 2,5000 cultural events will be held at the exhibition. Up to now, about 90 countries and regions and 500 international organizations including UNESCO and the World Meteorological Organization have confirmed their participation in the Exhibition.
